The secret to being highly effective at recruiting real estate agents is relationship and intimacy. Creating a relationship and intimacy with your prospect will allow you to see huge success. 

Now most recruitments pick up the phone and call prospects. They say, "Hi Mary, this is John Bracky from INSERT COMPANY, I'm curious, are you open to meetign for a coffee to talk about your business?"

It's not a surprise why this approach is still being used today. It's what you've been taught.
